The vertical storage system creates a buffer stock of particleboard in furniture production lines.
This Last In First Out storage system is vertical, with panels stacked “one on top of the other”, limiting floor space.
The panels are conveyed to the infeed and outfeed by a roller conveyor(s), and inserted through the rungs of a succession of ladders.
The set of ladders is raised for storage, and lowered for retrieval.
The ladders are telescopic in order to maximize storage capacity above the conveyor level, in view of the space available below the conveyor level; this may also eliminate the need for civil engineering.
Series installation of vertical stackers multiplies buffer capacity to increase poumonnage capacity on the production line.
